England will be without their wing sensation, Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, for the upcoming Six Nations after he opted for shoulder surgery, which will keep him sidelined until at least mid-March.

The 22-year-old Exeter star, who scored five tries in his first eight Tests last year, dislocated his shoulder in a Premiership match against Sale before Christmas. As reported by Mail Sport, Feyi-Waboso was faced with a difficult decision last weekend—whether to undergo surgery or attempt a rehab program and continue playing. After considering his options, he chose to proceed with surgery, which is expected to require a recovery period of 10-12 weeks.

An initial scan did not provide a clear diagnosis, leading to a second scan early last week. Initially, a non-surgical treatment was thought to be the best option, which would have allowed him to continue playing and be available for England’s Six Nations opener against Ireland on February 1. However, with the decision to go ahead with surgery, Feyi-Waboso will miss the entire tournament, leaving England without one of their most dynamic attacking players.
